Chef Joe Peroney

I'm a professional chef based in Pittsburgh, PA where I'm the corporate development chef for Giant Eagle grocery stores.  With my free time, I offer private chef services and  teach private cooking classes in the comfort of your own home.  I bring two decades of culinary experience with me and treat every event with the high standards that I have developed over the years of working in professional kitchens.

Food has been a love of mine since childhood.  Growing up, I would spend the summers with my grandparents and even at a young age, I was always in the kitchen or garden with them.  Little did I know that my attraction to food would turn into a career that would take me around the world.  I have cooked for former vice presidents and politicians, NFL athletes and coaches and spent time training in kitchens from Hawaii to Europe and would love nothing more than to share my culinary journey with you.  I have competed in multiple national and international cooking competitions and was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2020 IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany.  After spending many years at prestigious properties like The Greenbrier and Rolling Rock Club, I'm excited to be able to offer private dining events and cooking classes.  Thank you for being part of the next step in my journey.
